PAVER AND RETAINING WALL SERVICES

Power Washing is a great way to remove the sand joints, readying your project for new sand. This will also remove surface stains and debris; however, power washing alone will not clean your pavers or walls of the ground in contaminants or difficult stains.

We also provide power washing services on decks, siding, and concrete surfaces (walks, patios, garage floors, etc.).

After removal of old sand joints we use a Polymeric sand, where appropriate, to create a tight joint bond that will withstand erosion and reduce further weed and moss growth and insect infestation. On surfaces that are more porous, including some clay pavers and stone, we will use natural sand and then seal the sand to create a stronger joint.

We are able to clean most stains, using products formulated for specific contaminants. Stubborn stains like efflorescence (a whitish substance found on the surface of some pavers and walls), sand haze (polymeric sand that has left a residue that sticks to pavers), ground-in dirt, grease, paint, tar, rubber, rust, and organic stains (leaves, wood rot, tobacco, bird droppings, blood, etc.) can all be removed from the surface of your pavers and retaining walls. Cleaning, aside from removing stains, is essential to creating an effective seal on your paver and wall surfaces.

We strongly recommend sealing your pavers and walls to protect the surface, resist staining, and allow for easier maintenance. A project that is sealed will protect the value of your investment. There are many sealer options available to create your desired look. You may choose between a natural look, semi-gloss, and wet look finish and either a film forming or non-film forming sealer. Properly sealed projects typically provide protection for five years, and reapplication of sealers is not recommended prior to two years time.

If you want your investment to look as good as it did just after cleaning and sealing then you will want to create a regular maintenance schedule. Maintenance costs are decidedly less than an initial resand, clean, and seal service and makes good economic sense. We can tailor a maintenance program to your needs.

We are able to make small repairs on pavers and retaining walls. Common repairs include re-leveling pavers, providing edge restraints to paver projects and realigning leaning walls.

Are you looking to install a paver or wall project yourself? Do you need assistance in finding the right contractor to install your hardscape project? Do you plan to resand, clean and seal your own project? For a nominal fee, we can guide you in the right direction to get the job done right.
